A Message From Our Pastor

Pastor’s Corner
March came in like a pride of Lions this year. Rain, Storms, and Corona virus have created an interesting situation that we have never dealt with in recent history. The demand of isolation on us from family, friends, and church members has cause us all great concern about the future.
Schools being dismissed until April 17 has added extra strain on parents who work and has added to the worries of providing extra food and childcare. These are certainly trying times.
Our hope and plan at this moment is to be available for ministry as needed. I will be broadcasting a devotional and update each day on our face book page and on you tube around 11:00 am. It will be from home or from the church since I have access at both locations.
On each Sunday Morning that we have cancelled, we will be broadcasting a Sunday School lesson at 11:00 am and a Sermon message at 11:30 am on the Church’s face book page and you tube, so make sure to like the CMBC face book page on you devices.
As of today we do not have the ability to take your offerings online, but we are looking into this and may have it available soon. You can mail you offerings to Crow Mtn. Baptist Church, P.O. Box 10846, Russellville, AR. 72812 or drop them by the Church Mon-Friday between 8:30-12:30 am. Sheila will be in the office during those hours. I have postponed my vacation for March 23-27 and will be available for any Pastoral needs.
Hang in there, we are planning to have our full services on April 12 Easter Sunday Morning except for the Sunrise services. Looking forward to seeing you at that time.
In Christ Service Bro. Howard

A Message From Our Youth Pastor

Youth
The youth group will not be meeting until April 1 in response to the public limits of gathering together. We will resume Bible study on April 1 and be back on schedule after Spring Break. In the meantime, I will be posting some Bible Study materials on our website to keep us going during this time.
Be mindful that these are the times we have been reading about in 2 Timothy and preparing for.
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and sound mind.” 2Timothy 1:7
It is far easier to join in the public fear than to stand firm in the faith. While others are quick to fear an unknown illness, we must show our strength in faith by continuing to love others in spite of their fears. While we have time to be away from school, we need to check on each other and pray for one another. Please use a sound mind and wash your hands. But don’t forget to check on your neighbors and others who may need during these perilous times.
We are in this together and together with the Lord’s guidance, we can overcome any obstacles and quarantines that this world will put up. I will be available online and by phone or text. Be safe and may the Lord continue to bless you and your efforts.
Church camp will be in a few months and the first of many questions will be answered in a couple of weeks as the days continue to unfold. Keep your leaders and teachers in prayer. I look forward to seeing you as soon as possible.

In Christ

WMU

A Message From Mona Moody & The WMU

Women’s Ministry

April is a wonderful busy month for women, moms, sisters, daughters, friends, wives, grandmothers, sisters in Christ, and prayer warriors with Easter being time of cooking, gathering, being with family, and church worship. Most importantly, remembering our risen Savior’s sacrifice and love for us. Pray for each other as we prepare our hearts and tables for Easter. The week before Easter is our Annie Armstrong week of prayer for missionaries. Remember to take your daily prayer guide home and pray. They depend on our prayers. Also, that week is the Choices PRC Gala. Be praying for the Choices ladies, workers, and clients as they prepare for the gala night of April 7.
It will soon be time to register for One Day in October. Arkansas WMU is on board with One Day at 2nd Baptist Church in Russellville. Be praying and watching for details. Pray for our ARVBA WMU as we help make plans for this event. We met with Debbie Moore, March 19 at 12:30 @ the ARVBA to see how we can help. We will be glad to have more hands and hearts to help. Please come to our next meeting the third Thursday of each month.
April 7 at noon is our monthly WMU. Please join us for potluck, a study, and prayer time. We also are going to plan an excursion for our meeting time for one of the next few months. Please join us.
I pray these next few months you are women shining the qualities of the Holy Spirit. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”

— Galatians 5:22-23 NIV

ARVBA WMU
The ARVBA WMU meets on the third Thursday of each month at the Arkansas River Valley Baptist Association office at 12:30 p.m.
