Take time to get caught up with all of the amazing things going on around Crow Mountain Baptist Church.

A Message From Our Pastor
The Old year is gone and the New Year is here! Last year went faster than ever. As we look to the New Year and all its opportunities, maybe we should pause and think about what we want to accomplish in the days ahead as a Christian and as a Church. What are some things we can do to make this a better year than last year?
First we can promise God that we will spend more time in worship with Him. Attend Church regularly and stay in communication with Him through prayer. We can spend more time in the Bible through regular study. Set a time for devotions with the family and privately. The key to a successful year is a closer walk with the Lord.
Secondly look back on things that didn’t work for you last year in your personal life. What things can we get rid of that are time wasters and what can we add that will help us succeed?
Thirdly what about your health? All of us could use some exercise, but most of us won’t plan the time for it. Doctors say that only a few minutes a day would make a big difference in our life. I know I am the worst for not taking advantage of the gym membership I have that’s free through the insurance. I have decided to quit procrastinating and just do it.
The New Year is always a time to re-evaluate our life and start anew; so take a few minutes and see what it takes to make this year a better year.
God Bless and Happy New Year

A Message From Our Youth Pastor
2020 is upon us and a New Year and new decade as well. This upcoming year will be a time of focusing on reaching out past our walls and drawing others to join with us. The youth lessons will focus on reaching out to those who do not know Jesus and building up those that do believe.
It will be fast paced and furious until church camp. We have Valentine’s Day and spring break to contend with in the springtime; a new Semester of school and final projects due before Graduation in May. For our seniors, it is a time for future speculation and planning. There are lots of things to consider as we prepare for a youth retreat time.
Be sure to plan to attend Sunday school and Sunday morning services as we will announce and plan our events. Your input and ideas are important and we want to have several outings as weather permits. We will try to have a day of old school arcade games and even trips to the escape room coming up.
See you in the New Year!
Also if you have time to pray, keep me in your prayers as we continue to work toward a kidney transplant. I have been officially listed and will be looking to schedule a live-donor soon. We will pray that the Lord will open opportunities for us.

A Message From Mona Moody & The WMU
Every life matters. Every person deserves a handshake of respect, a heartwarming smile, a warm cup of coffee or glass of milk, water, or a plate of food. Every person needs and deserves our prayers, our love, and our Good News. No matter his or her age, health, status, or decisions. January 19th, 2020 is Sanctity of Life Sunday when “Churches around the United States use the day to celebrate God’s gift of life, commemorate the many lives lost to abortion, and commit themselves to protecting human life at every stage.” So let’s continue to celebrate life as we did in 2019. Our church gave $ to Choices Pregnancy Resource Center through Bottles for Babies. We filled 55 Operation Christmas Child boxes to Samaritan’s Purse. We donated socks and crocheted blankets to the nursing home and knitted baby caps to Choices PRC. Our Food Pantry reaches several families every month and gives out Baskets at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Our kitchen team has fed several men, women, and children before Bible studies every Wednesday. There were so many other ways we have reached out to people. Remember how it is all a labor of love as we go into 2020. Colossians 3:17, NIV: “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
Please join Women’s Missionary Union the 2nd Tuesday of every month at noon in the fellowship hall for Food, Fellowship, Prayer, and Missional Study.
The ARVBA WMU meets on the third Thursday of each month at the Arkansas River Valley Baptist Association office at 12:30 p.m.
