Sorry No Sunday Video

You know there are a few things that you would think one would learn being a techie, such as myself. One of the very first things is not to delete your master file before you confirm the reproduced effort works correctly.

I had remastered original file, edited it, new graphics implemented and rendered out to the proper file format for uploading to YouTube. However, once I viewed the file, it was black with only my graphics overlays in place and beginning and exit video tracks. Now that’s just about enough to make a grown person want to run their fist straight through their computer.

So what am I left with? Absolutely 3 hours of time that I can’t get back, no video, and a frustration level that is about to skyrocket through the ceiling right now!

There’s A Lesson To Be Learned

If there’s one thing I have learned in my young 52 years of life and that is there is always a lesson to be learned, regardless of what is going on. This is certainly no different here.

Sometimes each of us can become too confident in our capabilities and think nothing will go wrong! That’s usually just about the time that it does.

First and foremost, one should always check and re-check to ensure that the final product works before uploading. Even more important is to remember to make a copy of the master file just in case something doesn’t come out right! That would have been a super time this evening to have that in place.

Having a household of both children and grandchildren, I have been praying for patience. Lord sure poured it out and put me to the test on this one this evening!

Philippians 4: 6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

I was being way too anxious in preparing to get this video edited and uploaded for everyone to enjoy and to share with their friends and family members. I was focusing on the wrong thing! I was focusing on the outcome of final produced video as opposed to focusing on the result of the results of the reach of the video.
